Baptism Ministry
Incorporated into Christ’s Body, sent on Christ’s mission, Baptism makes us members of one another,
where all members share a common dignity.
We are starting up our Baptism Ministry again! If you are interested in learning more about the ministry and possibly joining, please contact Deacon Tom at: [email protected]

Nocturnal Adoration will follow the 5:00pm Mass the first Saturday of the month, concluding with Benediction at 9:50pm.

Men’s Morning Prayer Group
An invitation to all men from OLL and beyond. We invite all men of the parish to meet for prayer and reflection after the 8:30am Mass. We meet once a month on a Thursday from 9am-11am in the Parish Center to read and discuss the Scriptures for the following Sunday. Come with your ideas and suggestions. We’ll gather for conversation and fellowship. Join us in this pioneering experience for men. See our bulletin for the next meeting date.
Men’s Evening Prayer Group
An evening men’s prayer group will be held once a month on the third Tuesday of each month from 7:30pm until 8:30pm in the Spiritual Life Center. Come with your ideas. We’ll read and discuss the Liturgy for the following Sunday Mass. For more information, call Clifford Proctor at 631.669.3198 or see our bulletin for the next meeting date.
Altar Society
Members of the Altar Society are responsible for the upkeep and care of the linens used during our liturgies. Duties include: pick up church linens from Sacristy, wash, iron and return them to the Sacristy. We currently have eleven members, which means you would be responsible once every eleven weeks. The more members we have, the longer in between obligations.
We are always looking for new members! If interested, please call the Parish Office at 631.661.3224 option 2 and leave your name and number for Joyce Petersen.
Prayer Shawl Ministry / Baby Blanket Bunch
Bring your prayer and creativity together in a gift of love. See the parish bulletin for the next meeting time and date.
The Baptism Program and the Prayer Shawl Ministry recently introduced the Baby Blanket Bunch! We are hoping to give a blessed, white baby blanket to each child baptized in the parish. This gift to the family will be a sign of this special day on which we welcomed our newest members into our parish family.
We always need people to knit or crochet the white baby blankets. The blankets can be brought to the Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting at 9:30am on the first Wednesday of each month in the Parish Center or dropped off at the Rectory. We also need donations of white wool for the blankets which can be dropped off at the rectory or the meeting as well. Please share your special creative talent, generosity and love with the youngest of our parish.
S.A.G.E. Ministry (Senior Advocated for Growth & Enrichment)
Formed in 2003, the S.A.G.E. Ministry at OLL is made up of mostly seniors. The group meets every other Tuesday in the Parish Center and gather in their “sacred circle” where it is emphasized that “what is shared there, stays there.” They pray and learn, share and discuss life together in order to grow “in wisdom, age and grace.” The SAGE Group does not have officers, elections or dues as it is not a ‘club,’ but they have a free-will offering at each meeting. In previous years, they built a home in El Salvador and they adopted a Salvadoran elder for the year, thus focusing on issues beyond the group. All are welcome to attend! Email Cathy at [email protected] for more information.
Secular Franciscan Order
The Secular Franciscan Order was established by St. Francis of Assisi more than 800 years ago. Our purpose is to bring the Gospel to life where we live and where we work. We look for ways to embrace the Gospel in our lives and try to help others to do likewise. Secular Franciscans are men and women, married and single, living in secular life. We have jobs, homes, cars, hobbies and families. Francis founded our third order with the intention of having men and women who can evangelize in everyday life.
Would you like to become closer to Jesus through St. Francis of Assisi? Come to one of our monthly meetings and discover how you can bring the Gospel to life every day!
The Secular Franciscans meet here at OLL on the Second Sunday of each month from 1:30pm–4:30pm in the Parish Center. For more information, please contact Dan at: 631.432.0453.
